What it describes
Your natural way of acting is to turn an intention into a structure that really stands. The 4 carries stability, the four anchor points, and in concrete terms that shows up as a reflex to build foundations before thinking about what will come on top.
This way of acting carries a real demand for proven solidity, not just apparent: you check, you test, you make sure that what you lay down will really hold up in use, even when no one asks you for that rigour. It is not slowness, it is the very meaning of the 4: what is not solidly laid always ends up collapsing.
This talent shows itself through one precise reflex: faced with a project moving fast but with no clear base, you rarely follow the general enthusiasm, you more often slow everyone down long enough to check that the foundations hold.
I would rather slow down to check that it holds than move fast over emptiness.
In which recent situation did you take the time to check a foundation, when everyone around you already wanted to move on?
How it is calculated
Each letter of your full birth name — first names and surname, the name you were given at birth — is given a value from 1 to 9, following the order of the alphabet: A is 1, B is 2, and so on to I is 9, then J starts again at 1.
All those values are added together, then reduced to a single digit — except 11, 22 and 33, which are kept as they are.
Your married name, a chosen name or a nickname does not change this number. It is calculated from the name you were given.

A worked example
Take the name MARIA MORAN. Every letter of the name is counted.
M 4 · A 1 · R 9 · I 9 · A 1 · M 4 · O 6 · R 9 · A 1 · N 5
Added together, that gives 49, then 4 + 9 = 13, then 1 + 3 = 4 — expression number 4.
